In Georgia, massage therapists must be licensed by the Georgia Board of Massage Therapy, a division of the Georgia Secretary of State's Professional Licensing Boards. Licensure is not optional or honorary — it is a legal requirement to practice.
Every therapist at Augusta Massage and Facial has satisfied all of the following:
- Completed a minimum of 500 hours of approved massage therapy education
- Passed the MBLEx (Massage & Bodywork Licensing Examination) — a standardized national board exam
