Prenatal Massage in Augusta, GA

Specially adapted for expectant mothers to ease back pain, reduce swelling, and promote deep relaxation throughout pregnancy.

About Prenatal Massage

Pregnancy places extraordinary demands on the body β€” shifting posture, loosening ligaments, increasing circulatory load, and creating new pressure points in the low back, hips, and legs. Prenatal massage is specifically adapted to support the pregnant body at each stage of pregnancy, using positioning equipment designed to keep both mother and baby comfortable and safe.

Our prenatal sessions use a side-lying position supported by specialized cushioning, which eliminates the pressure on the abdomen and vena cava that makes face-down positioning unsafe during pregnancy. Techniques are adapted for the physiological changes of each trimester: lighter work in the first trimester (when fatigue and nausea are most common), deeper focus on the back, hips, and legs in the second and third trimesters as postural load increases.

Please inform us of your trimester and any pregnancy complications when booking. Prenatal massage is generally safe throughout all three trimesters, but we ask clients with high-risk pregnancies to provide physician clearance before their first session.
